Exercise Physiology
Exercise physiologists (EPs) are 4-year University qualified allied health professionals who specialize in the delivery of exercise, lifestyle and behavioural modification programs for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and injuries as well as general fitness and athletic conditioning. EPs provide physical activity and behaviour change support for clients with conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, depression, colon and prostate cancer, arthritis, chronic lung conditions and other many other health conditions. During an assessment an EP will discuss your current health and fitness goals as well as any barriers or limitations, so they can provide you with a specific exercise programme to maximize the benefits from every consultation.
